Visite officielle de Mgr Jean à Londres

Accompagné par l’Archiprêtre Alexandre Fostiropoulos, Son Eminence, l’Archevêque Jean a eu l’occasion de rendre visite à Son Eminence l’Archevêque Gregorios de Thyateira et de la Grande-Bretagne et Président of the Episcopal Assembly for Great Britain and Ireland en sa résidence. Au cours du déjeuner ils ont partagé des nouvelles de la vie de leurs paroisses et de leurs communautés respectives.

Dans l’après-midi, Mgr Jean et le père Alexander ont rendu une visite de courtoisie à Son Excellence Christopher Chessun, évêque du Diocèse anglican de Southwark, dans sa cathédrale, au sud de Londres. Mgr Christopher est l’évêque diocésain de la paroisse anglicane de Saint-Pierre, à Clapham, où notre propre paroisse de Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul célèbre depuis 2003, sous la direction pastorale du Rév. Père Alexander Fostiropoulos assisté du père Ian Page et du diacre Stefan Strekopytov. Suite à une conversation fraternelle et un reflet de la vie des communautés chrétiennes dans les différents pays de l’Europe occidentale, l’Archevêque Jean à assisté au service d’Evensong (Vêpres).

Official visit of Archbishop Jean of Charioupolis in London

On Monday 9th July 2018 Archbishop John travelled to London where, accompanied by Archpriest Alexander Fostiropoulos, he had the joyous opportunity to visit once again His Eminence Archbishop Gregorios of Thyateira and Great Britain and at his residence. Archbishop Gregorios and Archbishop John had a extremely friendly meeting over lunch and shared news of the life of their respective parishes and communities.

Later in the afternoon, Archbishop John and Father Alexander paid a curtesy visit His Grace Christopher Chessun Anglican Bishop of Southwark at his Cathedral church, in South London. Bishop Christopher is the Diocesan Bishop of the Anglican parish of St Peter, in Clapham, where our own Parish of St Peter and St Paul have been worshipping since 2003, led by Father Alexander, Father Ian Page and Deacon Stefan Strekopytov. Following a brotherly conversation and a reflection of the life of Christian communities in the various countries of Western Europe, Archbishop John attended the Service of Evensong (Vespers) in Southwark Cathedral sung by the wonderful Cathedral choir, in the presence of Bishop Christopher and his chaplain, the Reverend Joshua Rey.
