Communiqué from the Archbishop’s Office from the 1st november 2018

We hereby inform the priests and the whole pleroma of the Church about Archpriest Georges Blatinsky] and priest Oleg Turcan]’s suspension of any priesthood exercise from this day, November 1st, 2018.

In opposition to all the canons, during the liturgy of Sunday, October 28, 2018 in the Church of the Nativity of Christ and Saint Nicolas in Florence (Italy), they did not commemorate their diocesan bishop, the Archbishop Jean de Charioupolis, Exarch of the Orthodox Churches of Russian Tradition in Western Europe, nor his Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. Moreover, they led the community into their misguidance.

Given the seriousness of the facts, they are forbidden to celebrate divine services, to confer sacraments and blessings on the faithful, and to wear the cross and liturgical vestments.
