Communiqué 07-08 of the Administration of the Archdiocese

Following the decision taken on 15 April 2008 by the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Moscow, to ‘bless the creation an Orthodox seminary in Paris’, and the publication on the website of the Diocese of Korsun of a statement that this seminary ‘will be formed of members of the clergy of the Patriarchate of Moscow in collaboration with the Orthodox Institute of St Sergius in Paris’ and other Parisian institutions, Archbishop Gabriel, Archbishop of the Orthodox Parishes of Russian Tradition in Western Europe and Rector of the St Sergius Institute, wishes to make it known that he has not taken part in any discussion with representatives of the Russian Church with a view to the realisation of this project, and has not been consulted to this end.
